Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Welcome to The Island School family! A strong relationship between school, family, and community is important, especially at The Island School. We welcome and encourage all families to join the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

While PTO membership is not mandatory, the benefits of being involved are immeasurable. Many parents would like to attend the meetings but are unable due to other obligations. Involvement is not limited to meetings; there are events to coordinate, run, or attend, volunteering in the classroom, and classroom needs that can be done from home. The level of participation in PTO activities is up to you.

Research has shown that students’ academic achievements increase when parents are involved in the educational process. Belonging to the PTO is a great start!
